We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in a teaching and research academic role. Overall, teaching and research academics are expected to spend 40/40/20% of their time on teaching/research/administration respectively.

Specifically, your teaching responsibilities will include:

  • leading, coordinating and delivering postgraduate units of study in Clinical Epidemiology. There is an immediate need for an individual to teach Diagnostic and Screening Test- and candidates who are able to do so will be preferred.
  • assisting with other teaching initiatives, within the Clinical Epidemiology and Sydney University MD Research Methods Programs.

This is a part time 2.5 days, fixed term position for a period of three years.

To succeed in securing this role you will have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Epidemiology, public health or equivalent- including but not restricted to a MPH, MMed (Clin Epi) degree or a relevant PhD
  • Previous experience in teaching postgraduate Clinical Epidemiology
  • Experience with research student supervision and grant submission
  • A research track record of publications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within established teams
  • Expertise in the methodological aspects of Clinical Epidemiology is desirable.
