The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is actively recruiting for a full-time faculty position in the Division of General Pediatrics; a Board certified/eligible pediatrician to deliver primary care in an urban, community-based, academic pediatric clinic. Academic experience is particularly desired, with long-term career goals in academic pediatric medicine. Faculty physicians presently deliver care in two community-based primary care clinics, with a third anticipated to be opened in the summer of 2017. The primary care service is an NCQA certified PCMH and all sites have on-site social work and care coordination. Faculty precept, medical students and residents in all clinics. Faculty take part in occasional hospital and/or newborn nursery coverage. Administrative protected time is offered for scholarship and teaching. We welcome applications of candidates who have a primary interest as clinicians/clinician educators as well as candidates interested in basic or clinical or clinical translational research.
The Division of General Pediatrics is a growing and active division of 20 faculty members. These positions offer the administrative support of the largest pediatrics practice in Western New York with 14 subspecialties. UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in the area. Our physicians also make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
